Performance – Davi Pontes e Wallace Ferreira – Repertoire n. 3

As a part of the opening event of the traveling exhibition of the 35th Bienal de São Paulo – choreographies of the impossible at Museu de Arte Moderna da Bahia, on May 2, 2024, Thursday, the performance Repertoire n. 3, by Davi Pontes and Wallace Ferreira, will take place in Salvador.

The final part of a trilogy, the central question in this artistic, poetic, choreographic and theoretical work is: how can we create a dance of self-defense? The proposed strategy starts from the acceptance of the fact that violence is not unscathed by Black bodies and seeks to create possibilities and conceive self-defense tactics in dance to confront physical, imaginary and epistemological violence.
