International Weekend 2023

Join Fundação Bienal de São Paulo’s team at the 35th Bienal de São Paulo – choreographies of the impossible for an enriching experience during the International Weekend 2023, scheduled to take place on October 28-29.

The 35th Bienal de São Paulo – choreographies of the impossible gathers 121 artists from all around the world whose practices reflect on creating ways of living under impossible conditions. The show is curated by Diane Lima, Grada Kilomba, Hélio Menezes and Manuel Borja-Villel and runs from September 6 through December 10, 2023 at the Ciccillo Matarazzo Pavilion, in the Ibirapuera Park, São Paulo, Brazil.

The International Weekend is an important networking tool for the Fundação Bienal de São Paulo, connecting it with institutions, researchers and art professionals by hosting a stimulating agenda on an alternative date to the opening week of the Bienal. On its past editions, over 200 members from institutions such as the Americas Society, Museo Reina Sofía, Museo de Arte y Diseño Contemporáneo de Costa Rica, Palais de Tokyo, Städelschule, Tate Americas, The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, Villa Arson and many others have been welcomed by Fundação Bienal.

Reception, welcome kit, guided tours, seminars, film screenings, and a vibrant public program will be offered, all presented in English for your convenience.

Around 100 participants will be welcomed, giving priority to those who will be attending the International Weekend for the first time. The detailed agenda will be promptly shared with the selected participants via email.
