Launch of the 35th Bienal’s educational publication – third movement in Salvador

On May 3, at 6 pm, the third movement of the 35th Bienal’s educational publication will be launched at the Goethe-Institut Salvador. The event will include a round table discussion entitled Da dança, da esquiva e de seus saberes: caminhadas e aprendizagens, between the team from the Fundação Bienal de São Paulo, artist Inaicyra Falcão and photographer Lázaro Roberto, creator of Zumví Arquivo Afro Fotográfico.

Organized to circulate in the territories where the 35th Bienal is taking place out of a desire to contribute to critical and diverse training on the possibilities of education in contemporary art, the third and final movement of the educational publication will be presented in Salvador, the city where Inaicyra Falcão was born and lives – the artist, educator and articulator of worlds collaborated with a text in the first movement –, and photographer Lázaro Roberto, creator of Zumví Arquivo Afro Fotográfico, a visual quilombo that incorporates the discussion on preserving memories of Black resistance present in the third movement, for a chat about the publication.

Titled caminhar através da dança, através da esquiva e de seus saberes, seguimos aprendendo [walking through dance, through dodging and its knowledges, we keep on learning], the third movement of the 35th Bienal’s educational publication features contributions from Regina Aparecida Pereira, Cintia Aparecida Delgado, Carmen Silva, José Carlos Ferreira dos Santos Filho, Anna Luisa de Castro and Geni Núñez, as well as artists participating in this edition, Amador e Jr. Segurança Patrimonial Ltda., and mediators and educators who worked at the exhibition.
