Activation and Talk – Nadir Bouhmouch & Soumeya Ait Ahmed – Assays Against Mono(-)cultura

On September 7, at 12.30am, Hélio Menezes, part of the curatorial collective of the 35th Bienal, will talk to artists Nadir Bouhmouch & Soumeya Ait Ahmed, activating the work Assays contra mono(-)cultura [Assays against mono(-)culture]. The works that constitute the installation space will be presented in this meeting that stems from the very meaning of Assays, which in the Tamazight language refers to village squares: place where collective decisions are made and knowledge is shared.
