Sauna Lésbica – Freestyle workshop: sending rhymes, producing knowledge, with Gabi Nyarai

On October 15, Oficina Freestyleira: mandando rimas, produzindo conhecimentos [Freestyle workshop: sending rhymes, producing knowledge], with Gabi Nyarai will take place at Sauna Lésbica.

Orality has the strong power to bring people together to exchange ideas and share thoughts. The rhyming workshop aims to stimulate poetic speech as a way of producing and sharing knowledge, based on rhythms and intelligent sentence constructions. The participantes will experiment with poetic creation, readings, rhymes and sounds.

Nyarai lives in the South Zone of São Paulo, and is a MC, songwriter, master of ceremonies, poet and freestyler. She began her artistic work in 2011 in rhyme battles. She has taken part in various musical and literary events within the soiree and poetry slam circuit throughout her artistic career.

Sauna Lésbica is a collective movement for the celebration of Black lesbian and sapatão affectivities and a pleasurable, safe, and provocative space for experiencing politics, the spiritual and the profane, for loving and welcoming.
